Right-click on fancontrol.exe and select copy. Press Windows-r or search for run in the start menu.Right click in the window that opens and select paste shortcut.Note: this won’t start TPFC until you reboot.I see the reading, but it is incorrect. exe & choose "Sensor Only" & it takes a very long time for detection. I choose "Continue" & it reads 963 rpm, when fan is at 0 rpm, then quit & start again & choose "Disable Sensor". I am running the HP Fan Control as mentioned earlier. Waited until fan came on at around 3000rpm & your reading is in agreement with HPFC reading. When HPFC goes to 0, you're stuck at 963. Your max reading is 7021rpm (clearly wrong!), min reading is 963. There is nothing written in the log when this happens.Looks like an offset (480) & a scaling error (2x), but not all the time. Is there a log.txt file next to FanControl.exe with recent date entries? It will sometimes exit properly, but the restart loop always happens - with icons vanishing and reappearing, cards vanishing and reappearing even if I click "Cancel" when it tries to fix the sensors or save the config. And turning cards on and off does not change the fan RPMs at all, it seems the program is frozen entirely with the UI still responsive. It is still responsive and I can do other things like turning cards on and off, but I cannot exit cleanly. After this happens, when I click on "exit", whether in the icon context menu or from the hamburger menu, the program will not exit. The notification area temperatures also disappear and reappear several times before the program loads "successfully". Starting Fan Control v162 for the first time after boot (many minutes after), all the cards will disappear and re-appear several times before the program has loaded properly.
